Saatja: SUDRES Isabelle <[email protected]> Saaja: DEMIRTSHYAN Vahe Teema: WCCJ Bureau |Call for candicacy/Appel à candidature - 15 September/septembre 2025 Français ci-dessous Dear Members of the World Conference on Constitutional Justice, As you are aware, the 6th Congress of the World Conference on Constitutional Justice, along with the Bureau meeting and the General Assembly, will take place from 28 to 30 October 2025 in Madrid, Spain. The WCCJ Bureau is composed of representatives from the regional and linguistic groups, the host courts of the previous and upcoming Congresses, and four Courts elected by the General Assembly—one from each of the following continents: Africa, the Americas, Asia/Oceania, and Europe. In accordance with Article 4.b.1 of the WCCJ Statute, the General Assembly will elect four Bureau members—one from each of these continents—during the upcoming Congress. Courts wishing to submit their candidacy for one of these positions are kindly requested to notify the Secretariat no later than 15 September 2025. A list of the candidates will be circulated to all WCCJ members in due course. When determining a Court’s regional affiliation, its membership in a regional group will be considered. Each Court may submit its candidacy for one continent only. We would also like to remind you that, under Article 5 of the WCCJ Statute, decisions of both the General Assembly and the Bureau are normally made by consensus. If consensus cannot be reached, decisions shall be made by a two-thirds majority of members present, provided they are up to date with any financial contributions owed (Article 6.2).
