Dear Sir/Madam, My name is Eduardo Melo, I am a Judge in Brazil, and I belong to the International Association of Youth and Family Judges and Magistrates (AIMJF, in the French and Spanish acronym - www.aimjf.info<http://www.aimjf.info/> ), in which I am the Editor in Chief of its journal and, as a PhD researcher and professor (https://buscatextual.cnpq.br/buscatextual/visualizacv.do), I coordinate its researches. AIMJF exists since 1928, has a consultative status at the United Nations and is one of the leading organizations in this area, promoting world congresses regularly (https://justicewithchildren.org/en/online-world-congress-2021-about#:~:text=The%20World%20Congress%20on%20Justice,scientific%20cooperation%2C%20and%20raise%20awareness). We have been developing comparative research on child participation since 2021, aiming to promote transnational judicial dialogue and to improve the Justice System worldwide. We have organized research on child participation in family and protection matters, in juvenile justice and as victims in criminal procedures, all of them involving dozens of countries from all continents: https://chronicle.aimjf.info/<https://chronicle.aimjf.info/index.php/files/issue/view/4> We would be very honored if we could have the participation of your country in our next research on “children below the minimum age of criminal responsibility: measures, rights, procedure, participation”. AIMJF has organized the following questionnaire to be responded by each participant. We are suggesting June the 30th as a deadline, with some flexibility. I kindly ask if this participation is possible either by your organization or by the local court. For our association, as much important as analyzing global trends and good practices we value connecting judges and magistrates worldwide in order to have a continuous judicial dialogue. We would appreciate it if you can communicate the name of the person (or the institution) responsible for the national report.
