Alex Borg The Lisbon Council [email protected] Our Ref: 12.05.2026 No 21-1/26/3865-1 Withdrawal from GovTech4All Consortium Dear Mr Alex Borg, We would like to inform you of a change regarding Estonia’s participation in the GovTech4All project. As you are aware, the Ministry of Justice and Digital Affairs (JDM) has assumed responsibility for Estonia’s IT and AI policy and delivery, acting as the successor organisation to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications (MKM) in these domains. In this capacity, JDM has been preparing to take over MKM’s role as consortium partner in the GovTech4All 2.0 project, including substantive delivery and administrative responsibilities. Following the development direction of the project over the last few months and an internal review, JDM has reassessed the project’s relevance to its’ priorities and possible co-financing funds available for the 2026–2027 period. In this context, we regret to inform you that Estonia will withdraw from the GovTech4All 2.0 consortium at this stage. We apologise for any inconvenience or disruption this decision may cause to the consortium or the project planning and appreciate the constructive cooperation to date and wish the consortium every success in the continuation of the project. JDM remains open to future collaboration opportunities at European level where timing, scope and resourcing are compatible.
