Subject: Joint Council 83 and Extraordinary GA – 28 October 2020 – Virtual
Dear Delegate,
Dear Colleague,
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Annual General Assembly 2020, which was planned to be held in Bristol
– UK was held by email to comply with the legal obligations of the Belgian law.
Although physical meetings are still impossible, we consider it very important to keep in touch, address
PIANC management issues updating the relevant information and, not in the least, ‘see’ each other.
Therefore, a Joint 83rd Council and an Extraordinary General Assembly will be organised on 28 October 2020
at 1 p.m. CEST (Brussels time) via Teams. The reason for unifying The Council and General Assembly is both
observing the Council and GA functions and applying an economy principle to the number of meetings.
In due time, you will all receive a link to join the meeting by a simple ‘click’. For those not familiar with
Teams, please contact HQ to schedule a test meeting.
In case you yourself are not able to attend, please appoint a representative. In this regard, we kindly ask to
fill in the attached proxy.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to our first virtual meeting.

Cher Collègue,
En raison de la pandémie COVID-19, l'Assemblée Générale Annuelle 2020, qui devait se tenir à Bristol –
Royaume-Uni, a été organisée par courrier électronique pour se conformer aux obligations légales de la loi
belge.
Bien que les réunions physiques soient toujours impossibles, nous considérons qu'il est très important de rester
en contact, d'aborder les questions de gestion de PIANC en mettant à jour les informations pertinentes et,
surtout, de se ‘voir’. Voilà la raison pour laquelle un Conjointe Conseil 83 et une Assemblée Générale
Extraordinaire seront organisés le 28 octobre 2020 à 13h (CEST) (heure de Bruxelles) via Teams. La raison de
l'unification du Conseil et de l'Assemblée Générale est à la fois d'observer les fonctions du Conseil et de l'AG
et d'appliquer un principe d'économie au nombre de réunions.
En temps voulu, vous recevrez tous un lien pour rejoindre la réunion par un simple ‘clic’. Pour ceux qui ne sont
pas familiers avec Teams, veuillez contacter le secrétariat général pour programmer une réunion test.
Si vous ne pouvez pas assister à la réunion, veuillez désigner un représentant. À cet égard, nous vous
demandons de bien vouloir remplir le formulaire de procuration ci-joint.
