A Seminar on European Competition Law for National Judges
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to inform you that the deadline for application to the upcoming Judges’ Training organised in the framework of the OECD-GVH Regional Centre for Competition (RCC) has been extended until 30 September 2022. It will take place on 10-11 November 2022 in Budapest.
The seminar entitled “Stepping up with the economics of competition law: from core principles to advanced competition law enforcement” aims at investigating economic concepts, tests and evidence used in antitrust cases. National judges will get acquainted with these concepts as well as the economic reasoning underlying the EU competition law framework and also gain a better understanding of the various economic models and tests used to assess anti-competitive effects and notions, such as market power and relevant market. Particular attention will be devoted to sources of information and guidance to which judges could turn to when they have to face more complex and novel issues. The event will receive funding from the European Union.
