in January 2025 Poland has started the presidency of the Council of the European Union. We
perceive it as the opportunity to support activities strengthening European security in several
dimensions: external, internal, information, economic, energy, food, and health.
We also set ourselves ambitious goals in the field of media and culture. Our focus will be
on supporting young artists and creators starting their professional career as well as on the
assessment of legal framework for services providing audiovisual content.
I would be honored to host you in the informal EU culture ministers’ meeting on 7-8 April 2025
in Warsaw. On this occasion I would like to facilitate the debate on supporting young artists and
creators starting their professional career and on safeguarding heritage – both tangible and
intangible – against human-made disasters, in all probability also with the Ukrainian angle.
