Dear colleagues at the Data Protection Inspectorate,
I hope you are well.
We are currently conducting an OECD research project that relies on the
EUROMOD database provided by Statistics Estonia through their remote server
environment. For this work, we require access to personal data of special
categories—specifically variables related to health and disability
benefits—in order to analyse income and employment dynamics.
Our counterparts at Statistics Estonia informed us that access to these
special‑category variables requires prior permission from the Data
Protection Inspectorate before they can be made available to us. They
advised us to contact you to initiate this process and to confirm whether
AKI approval is required for our study.
We would be grateful if you could let us know the procedure to follow, as
well as any documentation or forms we should prepare as part of the
application.

kaugserveri kaudu pakutavale EUROMOD-andmebaasile. Selle töö jaoks vajame
juurdepääsu eriliiki isikuandmetele – täpsemalt tervise- ja puudetoetustega
seotud muutujatele –, et analüüsida sissetulekute ja tööhõive dünaamikat.
Meie partnerid Eesti Statistikaametist teatasid meile, et juurdepääs nendele
eriliiki muutujatele nõuab eelnevat luba Andmekaitseinspektsioonilt, enne
kui need meile kättesaadavaks tehakse. Nad soovitasid meil teiega ühendust
võtta, et alustada seda protsessi ja kinnitada, kas meie uuringuks on vaja
AKI heakskiitu.
