Dear Ms. Gailan,
The ever-increasing global economic interdependence compels States to constantly adapt and search for new and more efficient
ways to connect with partners and exchange resources. The role of governments and the international community at large as
facilitators of sustainable connectivity has increased accordingly.
Historically, Georgia has been serving as a natural hub to the economic, cultural, and technological interactions between East and
West. Our economy binds together both regions through a unique network of free trade agreements stretching from Europe to Asia
aiming at boosting our country's integral role in the Middle Corridor as a regional trade, energy, digital, transport, financial and
logistics hub.
Georgia will be hosting the 4th Tbilisi Silk Road Forum “Connecting Today, Resilient Tomorrow”, on October 26-27, 2023 in
Tbilisi, organised under the patronage of H.E. Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili. The Forum builds on the successes
of previous forums of 2019, 2017 and 2015. This important event will gather up to 2000 delegates, high-ranking officials, as well
as business representatives from over 60 countries.
The first day of the Forum will focus on the following topics:
- Increasing role of the Middle Corridor;
- New architecture of the East-West Trade;
- Digital connectivity;
- Diversification in the energy sector;
- Tourism sustainability;
- Diversified investments for resilient future.
The second day will be devoted to the Investment Forum, which will offer companies ample opportunities to network and
establish partnerships within the regional and international investment projects.
