Die Europäische Kommission hat mit dem Clean Industrial Deal und dem Wettbewerbsfähigkeitskompass die richtigen Signale gesetzt. Jetzt gilt es, diese zügig und wirkungsstark umzusetzen, damit die notwendigen Investitions­ entscheidungen für den Standort Europa getroffen werden. Mit dem im Jahr 2013 gegründeten Format der „Friends of Industry“ haben wir in der Vergangenheit durch unser gemeinsames Auftreten als Industrieministerinnen und Industrieminister wichtige Impulse auf europäischer Ebene gesetzt. Aktuell werden diese Impulse wieder verstärkt gebraucht, um eine erfolgreiche Wirtschaftspolitik für die Industrieunternehmen zu gewährleisten. Wir wollen uns im Kreis der Freunde der Industrie zusammenfinden und das Format auf Ministerebene wiederbeleben, um Maßnahmen zur nachhal tigen Stärkung der europäischen Industrie zu diskutieren und gemeinsam in Form einer Berliner Erklärung an die Europäische Kommission zu adressieren. Ich möchte Sie daher herzlich einladen, die Ausgestaltung der europäischen Industriepolitik am Montag, den 3. November 2025 gemeinsam auf der 8. Friends of Industry Konferenz in Berlin zu diskutieren. Ich möchte Sie bereits jetzt bitten, sich diesen Termin vorzumerken. Der Termin der Konferenz musste aufgrund von unvorhergesehenen Terminanpassungen vom 18. November nun auf den 3. November 2025 verschoben werden. Ich hoffe, Sie können den neuen Termin einrichten und freue mich auf den gemeinsamen Austausch. Für die weitere Organisation kommen wir zeitnah auf Sie zu. August 2025 Dear Minister, A competitive European industrial base is essential to driving growth, prosperity and economic resilience across the continent. With the Clean Industrial Deal and the Competitive- ness Compass, the European Commission has sent the right signals. What matters now is swift and effective implementation so that the necessary investment decisions can be taken in favour of Europe as an industrial location. Since its launch in 2013, the Friends of Industry has allowed us - as European ministers responsible for industry - to speak with one voice and inject important momentum at the European level. Today, such momentum is needed more than ever to ensure a successful industrial policy that Supports our enterprises. We therefore propose to reconvene the Friends of Industry at ministerial level, to revitalise this format and jointly explore concrete measures to sustainably strengthen European industry. Our aim is to present these outcomes to the European Commission in the form of a Berlin Declaration, It is my pleasure to invite you to help shape the future of European industrial policy by joining us at the 8th Friends of Industry Conference, to be held in Berlin on Monday, 3rd November 2025.
