Dear Sir/Madam, I would like to enquire what is the correct procedure to follow in the matter described below: Three Estonian citizens, who were previously residing and working in Finland have initiated legal procedures in a civil matter against their former employer in Finland. The plaintiffs are currently residing in Estonia. The plaintiffs have via their lawyer in Finland requested from the District Court of Itä-Uusimaa if the plaintiffs could attend the court session with video conference from Harju maakohus in Tallinn, Estonia. They have all agreed that they would be present personally at Harju maakohus for the video conference. The District Court of Itä-Uusimaa has accepted the request, on the condition that Harju maakohus has a video conference facility available for this and agrees to co-operate so that the plaintiffs can attend. The court session is on January 22nd 2024 (9.00-16.00). Do you have the facilities available so that the plaintiffs could attend the session from Harju maakohus? If you have the capability of providing the facilities for the plaintiffs to attend, what legal documents should we submit to you? Form L – Request for direct taking of evidence and Form N – Information on technical practicalities for holding a video? Or some other documents?
