The Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) presents his compliments
to Member States and has the honour to inform them that the sixth meeting of the Standing
Committee on Health Emergency Prevention, Preparedness and Response (SCHEPPR6) will
be held in a virtual format on 14–15 April 2025, from 13:00 to 15:30 (CEST) on both days.
Membership of this Committee is as follows: Dr Haji Mohammad Isham Haji Jaafar
(Brunei Darussalam), Professor Plamen Dimitrov (Bulgaria), Ms Christine Harmston (Canada),
Member to be communicated (Chile), Dr Pak Jong Min (Democratic People’s Republic of
Korea), Mr Minsoo Park (Republic of Korea), Mr Selibe Mochoboroane (Lesotho),
Mr Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim (Maldives), Dr Abdelkrim Meziane Bellefquih (Morocco),
Mrs Katarzyna Drążek-Laskowska (Poland), Dr Yawa Djatugbé Apétsianyi (Togo),
Dr Qasem Mohammed Buhaibah (Yemen), Dr Jerome X. Walcott (Barbados) ex-officio and
Ms Rhena Forrer (Switzerland) ex-officio.
Registration for virtual participation can be initiated as of 17 March 2025 by going to the
following link: https://indico.un.org/e/SCHEPPR6 and should be completed by 7 April 2025.
Following registration, a personalized link to access the virtual platform will be sent to
delegates in the days preceding the meeting.
Registrations sent after the deadline may cause a delay in the receipt of a link to participate
in the meeting.
In accordance with resolution WHA49.9 (1996), and to support the aim of achievement of
SDG 5 (Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls), the Director-General
invites Member States to consider that gender balance be applied to their delegations.
