Saatja: "Майбутнє Дітям" <[email protected]> Saaja: "KUM min" <[email protected]> Teema: Ukrainian young sportsmen support Kuupäev: 2024-01-09 10:24 Dear Ms. Heidy PURGA, I hope this message finds you well. I am Oleksandra Novikova, co-founder of the Charitable Foundation "Future for Children" and CEO of Olympic Dreams project. On behalf of the Ukrainian Charitable Foundation “The Future for Children”, we extend our gratitude for Estonia’s unwavering support to the Ukrainian people during these challenging times. During the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, more than 300 sports infrastructure facilities were destroyed and more than 400 athletes died at the front and in the occupied territories. Meanwhile young athletes from war-affected regions of Ukraine: Kyiv, Kharkiv, Kherson, Bucha, Irpin, Hostomil, Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhya, Sumy, Donetsk and many others — dream of being able to continue their training out of harm's way. Sport does not tolerate interruptions, thus exists the Olympic Dreams project, which is aimed at preserving Ukraine's Olympic reserve, namely: providing young Ukrainian athletes with a sustainable and safe training process in sports camps in friendly countries. I am writing to you with a humble request for your support in organising and implementing training sports camps for young talented athletes from the affected regions of Ukraine. Usually for our sports camps we need accommodations, meals and training facilities for our athletes to sustain programs for 2-3 weeks. As for us, we can organize groups of people for any of the Olympic sports - such as judo, athletics, football, fencing, hockey, biathlon, skiing, judo, volleyball, gymnastics, and many others. Each group can consist of 20 to 50 individuals, including the coaches. Olympic Dreams, the project of ''The Future for Children'' Charitable Foundation is officially verified by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, and mayors of such affected Ukrainian cities as Bucha and Irpin. With the support of the Embassies of Ukraine and the Ministries of Sport of hosted countries the project was successfully held in Greece, Cyprus, Spain, Japan, Slovakia, and together with our partners we helped more than 500 young athletes during the war. Please, see the short video about the project at Google Drive <https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NTz1iHsMnecRPogfzhUFpHZoKhP5_wV0/view?usp=sharing> . Website https://maydit.com.ua/en/olympic_dreams Facebook: @olympic.dreams.project Instagram: @olympic_dreams_ua We sincerely believe that your support for our young athletes will make a significant difference in preserving Ukraine's sporting excellence during these challenging times. If you require any further information or would like to discuss this matter in more detail, please feel free to reach out to me and I will be glad to provide all needed info. Thank you for your kind attention and consideration. We hope for your favourable response and support.
