Bodø kommune og Nordland fylkeskommune har gleden av å invitere deg til en mottakelse i
forbindelse med åpningen av kulturhovedstadsåret Bodø2024. Mottakelsen foregår i
Stormen bibliotek lørdag 3. februar 2024 klokken 14.00 – 15.30. Inngangsdørene vil være
åpne mellom klokken 13.00 og klokken 13.45.
Hennes Majestet Dronning Sonja vil være til stede under mottakelsen. Vi ber derfor alle
gjester om å være på plass senest kl 13.45.
Etter mottakelsen er det offisiell åpning av Bodø2024 i Stormen konserthus klokken 16.00.
Du er også invitert til den offisielle åpningen. Billett til åpningen vil du få utdelt når du
ankommer mottakelsen.
Det vil bli et storslagent åpningsshow i Bodø havn klokken 18.30. Dette er åpent for alle, og
du er selvfølgelig også velkommen her. Vi anbefaler å ta på godt med varme klær.
Senere på kvelden kan du gå rundt i Bodø sentrum og oppleve alt det som Kulturnatt Bodø
har å by på.
Reise og opphold må du ordne selv. Du må ta med deg legitimasjon, som vises ved
registreringen før mottakelsen.

Invitation to the opening of Bodø2024 – European Capital of Culture
Dear
Minister Purga
Bodø Municipal Council and Nordland County Council are pleased to invite you to a
reception in connection to the opening of the European Capital of Culture programme
Bodø2024. The reception takes place in Stormen Library between 14:00 and 15:00 on
Saturday 3rd February 2024. Please note that the entrance doors will be open between 13:00
and 13:45.
Her Majesty Queen Sonja will attend the reception. We therefore kindly ask all guests to be
present before 13:45.
After the reception, the official opening of Bodø2024 takes place in Stormen Concert Hall at
16:00, to which you are also invited. You will receive a ticket for the opening when you arrive
at the reception.
There will be a grand opening show at Bodø harbour at 18:30. This is open to everyone, and
of course you are welcome here. We recommend wearing warm clothes as this is an outdoor
event.
Later in the evening, you can walk around Bodø city centre and experience everything that
Bodø Culture Night has to offer.
You must arrange travel and accommodation yourself. You must bring identification, which
must be shown at registration before the reception.

Invitation to the opening of Bodø European Capital of Culture 2024
Dear Minister Purga,
During 2024, Austria, Estonia and Norway will highlight and celebrate European culture in
the cities of Bad Ischl, Tartu, and Bodø. This is an excellent opportunity to tie our cultural
bonds even closer together.
As the first ever European Capital of Culture North of the Arctic Circle, Bodø has planned an
amazing programme with the changing seasons and the stunning nature as a stage and a
background. Throughout the year more than one thousand cultural events will be performed.
It is my great pleasure to forward the enclosed invitation to the opening ceremony of
Bodø2024 on February 3rd. I truly hope to see you in Bodø!
