On 23 August 2024, we will be celebrating the 35th Anniversary of the Baltic Way – the day when millions of hands were held together across hundreds of kilometres in a peaceful show of Baltic solidarity. Nowadays, this remarkable event is highly valued worldwide and continues to remind us of the shared spirit of freedom, as well as the inspiring determination and compassion of our nations. Thus, we believe that it is paramount to celebrate the Anniversary of the Baltic Way in unity, highlighting our common cultural and historical heritage, joint values and shared interests. Taking into account the importance of the 35th Anniversary of the Baltic Way both locally and internationally, the Presidium until 23 October 2023 would like to get answers to the following questions: − How will Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia celebrate the 35th Anniversary of the Baltic Way? − What events are going to take place around the date of the Anniversary of the Baltic Way? − What joint initiatives the Baltic States are planning to celebrate the 35th Anniversary?
