The talk and opening are on the 15th of May 2024 in Helsingborg, Sweden. Every two years, bibu brings together the sector who works with performing arts for children and young people, together with decision-makers, funders, developers, researchers, school representatives and a large young audience to experience four days with the best and most interesting performances from Sweden and our Nordic and Baltic neighbors. In addition to about 25 productions, bibu also consists of an ambitious seminar program, professional development opportunities, workshops and a chance to meet the young audience. The festival will be opened by the Swedish Minister of Culture Parisa Liljestrand and we hope that Minister of Culture Heidy Purga wants to participate in a talk with Parisa Liljestrand, led by Benny Marcel, former director of Nordic Culture Fund. bibu 2024 will have a Nordic/Baltic focus. During the biennial, bibu will strengthen collaborations and networks in the Nordic and Baltic regions through performances, seminars, workshops and meetings.
