In Estonia it is allowed to use frequencies 13,75 GHz – 14,5 GHz (from Earth to space) for temporary SNG without applying for permit, provided that:  Antenna diameter is less than 5 m.  Equipment is made according to these documents: EN 50385 EN 301 489-1 EN 301 489-12 EN 301 430 CEPT/ERC/REC/13-03 EN 62368-1  Satellite is on geostationary orbit. Information can be found in our regulation for radio equipment freed from permit (unfortunately only in Estonian) “Raadiosageduste kasutamise tingimused ja tehnilised nõuded sagedusloast vabastatud raadioseadmetele” annex 3 for satellite communication “Kosmoseside” table 3.10. for temporary SNG. Information from this table is presented above. Should your equipment fall outside this regulation please send me the parameters and I will check with my colleague who is dealing with permits. We have just been asked by the Spanish Government Press Office to provide them with a SNG in Tallin next June the 6th due to the visit of the Spanish Prime Minister. For this purpose we are sending one of our SNGs. We would like to check with you how to proceed in order to arrange a satellite transmission license for our SNG satellite van. We are planning to work on Hispasat or Eutelsat 10A (if Eutelsat we would prefer to work in extended band 13,750 – 14,000 mhz).
