Proposal to the Accession of the Republic of
Estonia to the OIML Convention
Dear Mr Donnellan,
Thank you for your letter and the kind invitation to consider the accession of the Republic of
Estonia to the Organisation Internationale de Métrologie Légale (OIML) as a Member State.
As Corresponding Member, we highly value the contribution of OIML to the international legal
metrology. We also appreciate of noticing our endeavours to reform the quality infrastructure in
Estonia to respond to the various needs of the stakeholders in the rapidly changing markets.
However, after serious internal discussions and investigation of the available resources we would
like to continue as a Corresponding Member until we are ready to offer the proper input as a
Member State.
Still, we remain at your disposal in any further questions and inquiries concerning the promotion
of international legal metrology community.
With best regards,
Kristi Talving
