Dear Ms Tkachuk,
I am writing to confirm that the multinational nomination ‘Pysanka, Ukrainian
tradition and art of decorating eggs’ submitted by Ukraine and Estonia will
be considered for possible inscription in 2024 on the Representative List of
the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Please refer to the reference
number 02134 in any future correspondence
The core documents of this file are available on the webpage dedicated to
the files under process for the 2024 cycle.
As set out in paragraph 54 of the Operational Directives for the
implementation of the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible
Cultural Heritage, the Secretariat has assessed the technical completeness
of your file.
For your file to be considered technically complete and therefore to be
examined by the Intergovernmental Committee at its nineteenth session in
2024, I invite you to submit the following:
• a revised single nomination Form ICH-02 for Ukraine and Estonia in
electronic format (.rtf. or .doc) since two separate forms were
submitted (see enclosed); please indicate one designated contact
person from Ukraine under section 6.1 and one designated contact
person from Estonia under section 6.2, with the understanding that
Ukraine is the coordinating State for this nomination (there is no
need for this revised form to be signed again)
• English or French translation of the consent document from
Ukraine that was submitted only in Ukrainian
• an English or French translation of the extract of the National
Register of the ICH of Ukraine (the file contains only a version in
its original language)
• original signed grant of rights form for the photos (Form ICH-07-
photos) and the video (Form ICH-07-video).

Furthermore, I am looking forward to receiving the following
documents/materials, which are optional:
• the separate materials that convey the communities’ voice in
support of the statements made in section 2 of Form ICH-02.
Although indicated as ‘submitted’ (box ticked) in the nomination
form, no such materials have been provided.
• the separate document containing the additional contact information
relevant to the element (Section 4.2. of Form ICH-02). Although
indicated as ‘submitted’ (box ticked) in the nomination form, no such
document has been provided.
