I have the honor to address you with a proposal to organize a musical project for humanistic values and freedom "Peace will defeat war" in the Republic of Estonia. That is the exact title of the Symphony No. 3 of the known Ukrainian composer Borys Lyatoshynsky. As part of the "Voice of Ukraine" tour, the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra presented this symphony in the biggest halls of Poland and Germany - the Warsaw Philharmonic, the Berliner Philharmonie, the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, the Gewandhaus in Leipzig, and many others, as well as at the 39th International Festival of Classical Music in Canary Islands, and, according to the organizers of the festival, carried the message of "civilization and collective dignity". Currently, the orchestra, with the support of the Bundestag, has obtained a residence in the city of Gera in Germany, from where it goes on concerts and international tours. On June 29, 2022, the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra performed before the leaders of NATO countries at the Madrid Summit. This was the second time the orchestra participated in an event in the 73-year history of the alliance. At a time of unity against violence, we want to carry the message of peace with us and introduce to the supporters the rich Ukrainian culture in terms of its consonance with global cultural and historical development. We kindly ask the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Estonia for help to organize the performance of our orchestra in the Republic of Estonia. We will be happy to send you program proposals for possible symphonic programs with famous soloists under the baton of our chief conductor Luigi Gaggero. Here is the Pdf-presentation of the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra. We are looking forward to hearing from you! Thank you for your attention in advance.
