Ok, no additional comments. Corridors and stairway width. This was an issue on the previous vessels (built in Norway some years back). DNVGL have not taken this in FlagIT then, however FlagIT is now updates with Estonian interpretation. EMA to look at the text in FlagIT and give feedback if needed. Also to be communicated with other RO’s. Requirements to portable fire extinguishers in holds or compartme nts where vehicles are carried. EMA requires portable extinguishers according to II-2/B/Regulation 14 – Protection of special category spaces (14.1.5 b ) also for ro-ro spaces that are not special category spaces. This is now included in FlagIT. Important that this interpretation is communicated in a broader view (Designers/ yards). Means of escape from s pace of operating machinery. OK, no additional comments. Requirements to sprin kler system in electrical room OK, no additional comments. Requirement s to sprinkler system in sauna. Information is added to FlagIT Nozzle coverage in funnel area. OK, no additional comments. Stability/Structure Televisio n surveillance in ro-ro spaces OK, no additional comments. Navigation Redundancy requirements to signal/transmission lines fr om ship side camera to monitor. OK, no additional comments. Short presentation of the MTAS system and qualification of surveyors (Tuva F-A) DNV GL will send link to DNV GL Academy pages, where courses can be found/ potentially tailor made. Digitalization ( All ): Digital certificates: Implement during annual survey: by end of next year fully digital on all certificate (Class & Statutory). The Administrations need to formally accept the solution as an equivalent solution (e-mail/ letter). See attached information/ examples. Currently the certificates are available through MyDNVGL portal, however DNV GL are working on a web portal to Flag database ( like MyDNVGL). This will give an overview of the Flag’s fleet. General discussion related to moving forwards towards a more digital solution in the shipping industry Technology is moving faster than legislation in the maritime industry. How to speed up the process? Autonomous vessels: DNV GL developing own rules and support the IMO requirements EMA: process started by the industry (Ship-owners + yards). Create environments where it can be tested and later used. Short sea vessels (commercial driven). In Baltic sea (international sea). Way forward: Forum where these items are discussed and commonly agreed to have more impact? (DNVGL and other Flag states?) Who shall take the lead? Trond to do some internal research on initiatives ongoing and suggest a way forward (follow up meeting/ set up a forum/ gather current projects?) MYDNVGL for Administrations (where all Flag information is visible): Estonia volunteered to be in a pilot.
