Teema: RE: Drone Jammer Legislation
Dear Mr Bizjak,
Thank you for the enquiry.
We have no specialised legislation for Anti Drone Guns. These kind of equipment is considered as radio equipment
for usage of restriction of radiocommunication
and appropriate legislation is implemented for import and use of Anti Drone Guns.
The main questions you are asking are :
- Does your country authorize the importation of such drone jammer ?
Anti-Drone Guns can be imported to Estonia only for authorities listed in the Electronic Communications Act section
115 subsection 1 as for:
- the Defence Forces, within the territory of objects which serve a national defence purpose and are marked
correspondingly;
- the prisons, within their territory;
- the authorities responsible for internal security, for providing security protection in the areas of occurrence of
events which require heightened security;
- the authorities responsible for internal security, for prevention of explosion in the areas of potential explosion risk.
- If so, is it legal for state companies, private companies or both ?
It is legal only for state companies mentioned above.
- As the drone jammer adds noise to a specific frequency bandwidth, could we have some information about the
frequency spectrum your country authorizes ?
Information about usage of radio spectrum in Estonia you can find in the Regulation Eesti raadiosagedusplaan Lisa
1 Eesti raadiosagedusplaan and also you can find information about usage of spectrum in Estonia from ECO
Frequency Information System https://www.efis.dk/.
If you have more questions, do not hesitate to ask from us.
Best regards

Subject: Drone Jammer Legislation
Dear Madam, Sir,
I am a french engineering student and I am on a project of Legislative Watch.
My team’s task is to find out which European countries authorize the importation/use of Anti Drone Guns, also
known as Jammers, as you can see in the picture below.
We are interested in your country, however I cannot find such information online.
I had really hoped you could tell me about your country’s legislation on the matter.
The main questions we are asking are :
- Does your country authorize the importation of such drone jammer ?
- If so, is it legal for state companies, private companies or both ?
- As the drone jammer adds noise to a specific frequency bandwidth , could we have some information about the
frequency spectrum your country authorizes ?
This would mean a lot to us.

Thank you in advance for your consideration.
Enzo Bizjak
