In accordance with Article 65 of the IHR, as amended in 2022, the Director-General further has the honour to inform States Parties that Canada has withdrawn its rejection 1 of the 2024 amendments through a communication dated 15 May 2026 and transmitted through Note Verbale dated 19 May 2026. The aforementioned communication was received by the Director-General on 19 May 2026. Pursuant to Article 63 of the IHR, the 2024 amendments therefore entered into force for Canada on 19 May 2026. ... A copy of the above-mentioned communication is enclosed herewith. The Director-General of the World Health Organization takes this opportunity to renew to States Parties to the International Health Regulations (2005) the assurance of his highest consideration.
