Villu KÕvE President of the Supreme Court of Estonia Honourable President, I have the pleasure to irrform you that n2026 the Constituüonal Court of the Republic of Bulgaria will celebrate its 35th Anniversary since its establishment. In order to mark this even! the Constituüonal Court of the Republic of Bulgaria willorganize an Internaüonal Conference which will be held in Sofia, Bulgaria on 15 October 2026. The main topic of the Conference will be " The Role of Constitutional Courts in Guaranteeing tlrc Rule of Lau". It will be divided into three panels that will focus on the following subtopics: 'Composition and lndependence of Constitutional Courts', 'Respect for nnd Compliance ruith tlrc Decisions of the Constitutional Court' and'Case Lau of Constitutional Courts in Crisis Situations'. It is my pleasure to cordially invite you (or your designated representative) to honour us with your attendance at the Internaüonal Conference and related events planned on the occasion of this significant anniversary of our Court. The conference will bring together representaüves of Constituüonal Courts and equivalent institutions from Europe and other continents, representatives of international organizattons, academia, and legal practiüoners to reflect uPon the development of constifuüonaljustice, its contemporary challenges, and its role for guaranteeing the rule of law. The working languages of the Conference will be Bulgarian and English with simultaneous translaüon. Participants are expected to arrive in Sofia on 14 October 2026 and depart in the afternoon on 16 October 2026.
