HCCH Annual Briefing for Members
On behalf of the Secretary General of the HCCH, please find attached a
letter inviting Embassy officials of HCCH Members to attend the 2025 HCCH
Annual Briefing, scheduled to take place in person at the PB premises
(Churchillplein 6b) in The Hague on Monday 17 November 2025 from 3.00 to
5.00 p.m. (CET). The briefing is aimed at newly arrived officials at
diplomatic missions and will provide an introduction to the HCCH and its
work. The working language of the briefing will be English.
Embassy officials are invited to register their participation before
Wednesday 12 November 2025, 5.00 p.m. (CET) by e-mail to the PB at

[email protected]> . Space is limited and
seats will be allocated on a first registered, first served basis.

Réunion d’information annuelle de la HCCH destinée aux Membres
Au nom du Secrétaire Général de la HCCH, veuillez trouver ci-joint une
lettre invitant les fonctionnaires des Ambassades des Membres de la HCCH à
assister à la Réunion d’information annuelle 2025 de la HCCH. Celle-ci se
tiendra en présentiel dans les locaux du BP (Churchillplein 6b) à La Haye,
le lundi 17 novembre 2025, de 15 h à 17 h (heure d’Europe centrale). Cette
réunion d’information est destinée aux nouveaux fonctionnaires récemment
arrivés dans les missions diplomatiques et proposera une introduction à la
HCCH et à ses travaux. La langue de travail de la réunion sera l’anglais.
Les fonctionnaires des Ambassades sont invités à s’inscrire avant le
mercredi 12 novembre 2025, à 17 h (heure d’Europe centrale), par courrier
électronique adressé au BP à l’adresse :

Reunión Informativa Anual de la HCCH para Miembros
En nombre del Secretario General, remitimos adjunta una carta en la que se
invita a los funcionarios de las embajadas de los Miembros de la HCCH a
asistir a la Reunión Informativa Anual de 2025, que tendrá lugar en
persona en la sede de la Oficina Permanente (Churchillplein 6b) en La Haya
el lunes 17 de noviembre de 2025, de 15:00 a 17:00 (hora de Europa
Central). Dicha reunión, en la que se presentará la HCCH y su labor, está
dirigida a los funcionarios recién llegados a las misiones diplomáticas.
El idioma de trabajo será el inglés.
Se invita a los funcionarios de las embajadas a inscribirse por correo
electrónico a la dirección

Dear Sir or Madam,
On behalf of the Permanent Bureau (PB), I am pleased to invite Embassy officials of HCCH Members to
the 2025 HCCH Annual Briefing for Members of the Organisation.
This briefing is scheduled to take place at the premises of the PB in The Hague (Churchillplein 6b) on
Monday 17 November 2025 from 3.00 to 5.00 p.m. (CET). It is aimed at newly arrived officials at
diplomatic missions and will cover the following topics: an introduction to the HCCH, PB operations and
cooperation with diplomatic missions, and ongoing work. The working language will be English.
With this briefing, we hope to provide to your diplomatic mission any information it may require for the
fulfilment of its role as Member of the HCCH and for the proper and effective implementation and
operation of the HCCH Conventions to which it already is a Contracting Party. (An overview of Members
of the Organisation and the Conventions to which they are party can be found here.) The briefing will
also be an opportunity for officials to explore the benefits of becoming a Party to additional HCCH
Conventions.
Officials are invited to register their interest before Wednesday 12 November 2025, 5.00 p.m. (CET) by
sending an e-mail to
[email protected] mentioning the name, title, and diplomatic mission of the
participating officer(s). Please note that space in the HCCH conference room is limited and seats will be
allocated on a first registered, first served basis.
