Dr. iur. Villu Kõve
Chief Justice
Supreme Court of Estonia
Honourable Chief Justice,
In my own rulme and on behalf of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Latvia I
would like to congratulate you on the thirty-year anniversary of the B4ltic Way, which
was truly an exceptional event that has not lost its meaning today. Even more, it still
manifests the importance of unity instead of division. And it is my believe that only
through unity among the Baltic and European nations we can appropriately face the
challenges of the modern world.
I am looking forward to elevating our Baltic cooperation in promoting both unity in
values as well as diversity in constitutional traditions in the European context,
because respect for what unites our nations and respect for what makes us unique is
what we so much struggled to guard when joining hands in the Baltic Way.
Mrs. Chief Justice, please kindly accept expressions of my highest considerations and
respect.
Yours sincerely,
Prof., Ph.D. Ineta Ziemele
President
Constitutional Court of the of Latvia
