CIRCULAR 21.12.2016 No 5-1-7/4566 Manning of fast rescue boats on ro-ro passenger ships trading in Domestic Voyages Hereby we inform, that on ro-ro passenger ships, trading in Domestic Voyages, at least two crews for each fast rescue boat shall be on board in accordance with the provision 5-1.3.3 of Chapter III of the Directive 2009/45/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council. Manning of the ship shall be such that in each crew of the fast rescue boat there are three members, two of them shall have the required qualification (STCW regulation VI/2 paragraph 2, section A-VI/2 paragraphs 7 through 10, including Table A-VI/2-2). In total, there should be at least four members of the crew having previously mentioned qualification.
