The New EPRA Membership Fee Model

ETRA is a converged regul ator dealing with electro nic communications , transport and industrial safety . Total number of staff is currently 86, but only 2 positions are dedicated to regulating media services sector and 3 more positions are partially dealing with media services issues . ETRA´s total budget for operating expenses was EUR 2,715,102 in 2016. Estimated operat ing costs o f media services department were ca EUR 160 000. Thus EPRA’s membership fee makes already ca 1,5% of our annual budget for media services and the share will increase even more with the new membership fee model . ETRA considers itself to be a very small member and h erewith as ks EPRA Executive Board to implement a reduced exceptional fee rate for our authority .
