Dear National Competent Authorities for blood, tissues & cells and
organs, dear colleagues,
First of all, we would like to thank once again those of you who
participated to the BTCO virtual meeting on Wednesday 18 October 2023. The
presentations given during the event are now available on CircaBC.
Additionally, we would like to summarise some important information:
* Thank you Sandra for the summary on the IES activities. As mentioned
in the presentation, some countries have not replied confirming their
involvement in IES activities and others are not represented in the IES
although some of them were attending in the past. If you are interested to
contribute, please express your interest in one or more work clusters by
sending an email to
[email protected] putting in copy
[email protected]. Please do so by 10 November 2023.
* Thank you Axel for the interesting summary on the pilot SARE exercise
on organs. A more complete report will be shared as soon as available. The
presentation ended with two questions, on which you can send your answers
to
[email protected]: (1)Do you wish to repeat this exercise, and (2)
do you wish to have this exercise in one year, annually or at other
frequencies?
* Thank you Livia for introducing SIGHTSoHO training activities.

the last opportunity for training and a new round is foreseen. Further
information will be shared in due time.
* Thank you to the NTT team for introducing the Readership project. As
mentioned during the call, the participation of the NCAs is crucial for
the successful outcome of this initiative. NTT will shortly contact you to
nominate representative for each one of the Working Groups (Blood, Cells,
and Tissues). The representatives should be actors involved in the value
stream map of SoHO who have a vision of the different realities of the
country (e.g. Transplant Coordinators for Tissues, Blood Bank Managers or
Blood Bank Actors).
* Please read the information on the END/SNE (Expert National Détaché
/Seconded National Expert), which you have received yesterday in a
separate mail, and disseminate the information through your channels.
Please note that the application process is managed by the network of
Permanent Representations. The deadline to submit documents is the 25
October 2023.
