My name is Alvaro De Lecea, Project Assistant at the European Health Summit. I am
contacting you to invite Minister Riina Sikkut as a guest speaker in our European Health
Summit taking place the 7th of December at the Egmont Palace, Brussels. Please, find the
invitation from our Director General, Arnaud Thysen, attached to this email.
With the theme of « Agenda 2024 — 2029: the Future of Healthcare in Europe », this
one-day event will focus on key areas such as the governance model for healthcare in Europe,
the role of innovative medicines and digital transformation and the financial sustainability of
our healthcare systems, while incorporating the changing expectations of patients and health
consumers. We would highly appreciate if the Minister could be able to participate, as we
believe that her expertise in this matter can bring very insightful arguments to the
discussions.
Furthermore, we are glad to announce that EVP of the Commission Ms Vestager, EMA
Executive Director Ms Cooke, Director General of HERA Mr Delsaux, CEO of Novo
Nordisk Mr Fruegaard Jørgensen, and MEP Sokol already confirmed, among others.
Given that the agenda of the Summit is in development, there is certainly flexibility to
accommodate any agenda constraints on the day.
