IHB File No. S1/0402 CIRCULAR LETTER 39/2016 19 August 2016 Former Director Adam KERR Dear Hydrographer, 1 It is with great sadness that the Directing Committee has to announce the death of Adam KERR, who passed away in his home in Larmona (United Kingdom) on 8 August 2016. 2 Adam KERR was a member of the IHB Directing Committee from 1987 to 1997. By a sad coincidence, he had self-published his memoirs under the title “Charting Polar Seas - The life, careers and interests of Adam Kerr - chartmaker, sailor and fisherman” a few weeks ago. 3 A more detailed obituary retracing his distinguished career will be published in the next issue of the International Hydrographic Review. 4 The Directing Committee and Staff of the IHB offer their most sincere condolences to his wife Judith and their sons Andrew and Timothy.
