Seventeenth Session of the IALA Legal Advisory Panel (LAP)

Dear IALA National Member
The IALA Secretariat has the pleasure of inviting you to the
seventeenth session of the IALA Legal Advisory Panel (LAP) meeting,
which will be held from October 3 to 5, 2016. The venue is the Gulf of
Finland VTS Centre, Finnish Transport Agency, Katajanokanlaituri 4B,
K-6, 00160 Helsinki, Finland. The meeting will commence on Monday 3 at
10:00 and is expected to finish at 13:00 on Wednesday 5. A revised
Provisional Agenda and maps showing the venue and recommended hotels are
attached for your reference.
Please note that the meeting is principally aiming at legal experts
from IALA National Member administrations. There will be discussions on
AIS data used as evidence at court cases and it is the wish of the IALA
Council to gather as many information as possible on experiences gained
by the IALA National Members with regard to this Agenda item. Should you
wish to share experience with the Panel please contact me on or no later
than 9th September.
Registration: On-line registration to attend LAP17 is available from
the IALA website under Calendar (please log in to access), and must be
completed in order to ensure appropriate arrangements. Official
invitation letters for visa purposes can be obtained from our host in

soon on the website. Please monitor the LAP17 section of the web site

under Login, you will receive a notification from the Secretariat that

Hotel accommodation: The participants are responsible to book their own
accommodation. No block bookings have been made with the recommended
hotels.
